What is Throttle Thursdays at Dillon Brothers?
Once a month both Dillon Brothers motorcycle dealerships, Harley and Motorsports, in Omaha, NE throw a huge party for gearheads, riders, and horsepower enthusiasts or all kinds in their shared parking lot. The schedule is set for the first Thursday every month, except July, in 2013 is May 2nd [done], June 6th, July 11th (second Thurs due to holiday), August 1st, Sept 5th and Oct 3… 5pm to 9 pm every time.

Being an event for all things gas-powered one of the key attractions is the Auto and Motorcycle show. Anyone with a car or bike they want to show off can enter. No pre-registration, just pull up, talk to the traffic director and park.
The whole event is in the lot of two motorcycle dealerships but one brother in the Dillon Brothers combo is Sid Dillon so there’s little doubt there’s going to be plenty of bad ass cars in the show too.
Not to be outdone by the car crowd in their own parking lot the motorcycle guys will be raising their voices. Dillon Motorsports is bringing out the portable DynoJet dyno. $20 will get any biker in line to do a dyno power run right in the parking lot.
May 2nd Calendar Girl Photo Gallery
Also gracing the stage will be a select group of Omaha’s finest women. The 2014 Dillon Brothers Calendar needs women so we are including a Calendar Contest in Throttle Thursdays. Anyone can apply but there can only be so many women on stage so 10 women, give or take, will take the stage and strut their stuff to make the cut. final judging may take up to three winners and award them a month in the calendar. Winners will also get all kinds of cool stuff like free tanning, gift cards, etc but during the October calendar contest Dillon Brothers will award their 2014 cover girl from among the other winners. This amazing woman will also be awarded a trip for two to Las Vegas.
Lets talk more about making some noise! Dillon Brothers Harley Omaha has gone so far as to build their own permanent stage right in the corner of the lot. Why build a stage? For the live music of course. Every Throttle Thursday will have live bands.
Brian Alexander will be the first act to break in the new stage, Summercamp will be rockin’ the crowd in July, August will have 3D In Your Face, followed by the Filter Kings in September, and ending the season with Lemon Fresh Day in October.

Nothing can be said about Dillon Brothers events without mentioning the support involved to make such successful events happen. The tireless photographer and marketing partner Donnie Jones takes a ton of photographs at all the events. Donnie also helps spread the word through the ‘interwebs’ via his online magazine: FuseWeekly.com.
Carribean Tan, in Millard and Elkhorn, is taking care of the calendar contestants with literally months of free tanning while 89.7 the river helps out with an endless flow of raffle door prizes and concert giveaways all while entertaining with solid announcing. The trip for 2 to Las Vegas for the Calendar/Bikini Contest cover girl winner was generously donated by The Travelure Company in Fremont, NE.
Last but not least the long term event partner ‘bringing in the bacon’ is the Doghouse Saloon in Waterloo, NE, always serving their awesome food and cold drinks with a smile whether at Dillon Brothers or at their place.
Dillon Brothers has a full schedule of events for 2013 but no one can ever say for sure what’s going to happen from event to event but it’s always guaranteed that it will be a ton of fun. On May 2nd Jason Britton was in the lot doing motorcycle stunts (Saturday also).
So what is Throttle Thursdays? Motorcycles, Cars, Calendar Girls all on show. Naturally there good food, cold drinks and live music with tons of horsepower to go around. In short it’s FUN.
