 Honda Big Red Utility Vehicle
|
Honda’s Big Red side by side or MUV as they call it is the ultimate multi-purpose utility vehicle on the market today. The Big Red has always been a leader in the utility vehicle category but they really outdid themselves starting with the 2011 models when they upgraded many important features. Whether it’s load capacity, towing power or even safety features, the Big Red stands heads and shoulders above the rest of the pack.
With the only automotive-style automatic transmission with hydraulic torque converter in the industry, and independent suspension on all four wheels the Honda Big Red rally stands out from it’s competitors. Safety also comes first with it’s automotive type three-point seat belts, balanced braking system that ensures front and rear braking even in the event that one brake line fails and roll over protection system that is certified to meet OSHA requirements.
Starting in 2011, Honda doubled the capacity of it’s rear dump bed to 1000 lbs and increased the tow capacity to an industry leading 1500 lbs. Combine the independent double-wishbone suspension with variable-damping shock absorbers and 7.1 inches of travel in the rear and the only bed wide enough to carry a full size pallet and you have a work UTV like no other. The cargo bed features a convenient one handed release and hydraulic assist for easy dumping and a 2” receiver style hitch on the back makes hitching up a trailer for extra hauling capacity a breeze.
