Congratulations to Chase McGrath on earning his AMA Pro License
Dillon Brothers Motorsports’ own Chase McGrath, parts manager extraordinaire, can now add professional motocross rider to his resume. After finishing 10th in Expert and 8th in Pro Sport at the Amateur Arenacross Championship in Las Vegas last week, Chase has finally earned his AMA Pro Motocross license.
(All photos taken by our internet manager Randy Toy)
“CONGRATULATIONS on your Pro License Chase!! Here’s to continued success in the future”
To even qualify to compete in the championship in Las Vegas he had to finish in the top 4 in regional races. Having finishing 4th in the Expert event at the Southern regional and 2nd in Pro Sport at the Western regional he had earned a trip to Vegas to finally get a shot at getting his Pro license. Considering that most pro riders devote 100% of their time to riding and competing it’s even more impressive that Chase has achieved his life long dream while continuing to work full time as the parts manager for us here at Dillon Brothers.
He will be competing at the Spring Creek Motocross Pro National Round 7 of the Lucas Oil AMA Championship in Millville, MN coming up in July. Everyone who is interested in motocross is strongly encouraged to make the short 6 hour trip to Minnesota and cheer him on as he continues his lifelong passion of racing.
This is Chase’s 12th year of racing, having started at the age of 15 on his 2000 Kawasaki 125cc motocross bike. Nowadays he’s ripping up the tracks on a 2010 Honda CRF250. He is truly an inspiration for the rest of us here at Dillon Brothers as we’ve gotten to follow his career through the years and we celebrate the achievement of his life long goal of becoming a Pro rider.
Those of you who are into motocross racing or are looking to get into the sport you will find no better source than Chase for information about the parts and gear you’ll need. Whether you’re looking for protective gear, engine parts, replacement body panels, tires, helmets, suspension upgrades, exhausts for either 2-stroke or 4-stroke bikes, brakes or even some new graphics to personalize your bike Chase will get you what you need. Just give him a call at 402-556-3333 and ask for the parts department.

Review: 2012 Ninja 250R
2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250 R – Updated Entry Level Exhilaration
Since its inception in the early eighties Kawasaki’s Ninja 250 has been the bike for entry-level riding. It continues to be the top selling motorcycle in the United States. The bike has been such a solid choice for nearly 30 years there have only been four significant changes, the last in 2008 as a complete redesign.
Ninja 250R’s popularity relies heavily on the smooth and reliable parallel twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. it’s tuned mainly for manageable and smooth torque at lower rpms and is connected to a six-speed transmission to cover the range of riding conditions from city to highway. The little ninja is mild mannered and easy to ride for anyone but still spirited enough to not put you to sleep while riding.
The Ninja 250 has always been a solid performer but the looks had grown a bit long in the tooth. The fourth gen redesign in 08 really brought the whole bike up to date with modern looks and performance improvements. The 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250R also features updated suspension for improved handling, this is paired with the sportbike 17-inch wheels with a large single 290mm front rotor on the front and 220mm brake rotor on the rear.
Paired with a base price of $4199 Kawasaki’s 2012 Ninja 250R is still the new bike to have if you want something stylish, fun, and cheap… Stop by Dillon Cycles in Omaha to check get yours today, we have plenty in stock.
Cycle Shifty Daytona Race Watch – Dillon Cycles

Cycle Shifty Daytona Race Weekend Get-Together
What’s up everybody! I hope your President’s day reminded you of the freedoms we all share that were started by our founding Fathers.
Linjo and Mike are going to have a Nascar get together. We will meet at Mikes at his place Feb 26th for the Daytona 500. Get in touch with Linjo for the address. Apparently, she is selling some Major units according to her job title, so feel free to give her some biker love for that.
Can’t wait to see everyone and have another year of safe fun. Everyone in our group made it back last year, but not all of our bikes made it unscathed…you know who you are. Also, apparently fenders are optional for a few of us. Can’t wait to see what everyone did to the bike during the hibernation. Mine slept comfortably and mostly undisturbed. Lack of funds. But I did spend hours on the DB website at www.dilloncycles.com and www.dillonharley.com. Something is always changing on the site and in the store, so be sure to check in and check often.
Speaking of which, if anyone wants to help us out and get our website to where it should be, I’d be really grateful. On our annual budget – pocket lint and bubblegum, we need volunteers to be a webmaster. Show off your skills to the cycle community, and help a rider out.
Shifty.
Details:
Race starts at 1:00 pm
Sloppy Joe’s and chips provided
